Act v18 Premium will reach end of life on 30th November 2017. No new licences will be issued after this date and businesses won’t be able to extend support contracts or upgrade at a discounted rate.
Act v18 Premium will reach end of life in November 2017, while for Act v18 Pro customers the cut-off date is in November 2018. After those dates additional licences for this version will no longer be supplied and customers will no longer be able to upgrade at a discounted rate.
From November 2018, Swiftpage will no longer release updates, patches or hot fixes to remedy bugs and defects. Consequently, using obsolete software can put businesses at risk, as unsupported systems are an easy target for hackers looking to gain access to corporate networks. Research shows the patch that could have prevented the WannaCry attack was released 59 days before the outbreak occurred. Find out more about the risk of using outdated systems here.
Customers with an active support plan will receive support through business Partners, such as Xperience Group, however without security updates any new bugs and defects may be unresolved. Additionally, the latest Office applications, browsers and operating systems may not be compatible with unsupported software, impacting on day-to-day operations and employee productivity.
Customers who wish to upgrade before their version becomes obsolete will have access to preferential pricing to move to Act Subscription, which includes all the latest product innovations, features, technical support and compatibility updates. Customers will also have access to Act E-marketing and Act Connect allowing integrations with hundreds of popular business apps for greater insights.
