Infor Acquisition of Saleslogix Completes

Published: 8 September 2014

The proposed sale of Saleslogix assets to Infor has completed bringing mutual gains to the parties involved.

Following on from the acquisition of Act and Saleslogix from Sage in March 2013, Swiftpage has announced the sale of its Saleslogix assets to Infor, leading enterprise software solutions provider.

President and CEO of Swiftpage, John Oechsle, comments, “This transaction is one of those ideal situations in which all involved benefit. Infor adds a best-in-class solution to its portfolio, and can provide the size, scale and resources to position Saleslogix as a leading product globally. For Swiftpage and Swiftpage Nation, this is an important step in our journey. We can now fully focus on our core ‘DNA’ of helping micro and small businesses grow. By doubling down on Act!, we can continue to increase the value we deliver to our customers, while accelerating the growth of the Act! portfolio worldwide.”

Neil Slater, General Manager at Xperience Group supports this by saying, “As an Act! and Saleslogix Business Partner we appreciate the news could be unsettling for Saleslogix users, with the Infor acquisition taking place just over a year after the Swiftpage acquisition. However, we firmly believe the propsed acquisition is in the best interest for both Act! and Saleslogix users. Saleslogix benefits from the backing of a enterprise solution provider with the resource to put Saleslogix on the map while Act! is driven forward by experts in the small business arena.”

Infor plans a major investment in the product, promising to double the research and development investment in year one. Efforts will be focused on increasing scalability of Saleslogix and refreshing its user interface to bring it up to levels that its enterprise-level clients have come to expect.

It’s good news for Act too. Moving forward Swiftpage will be able to devote the full complement of its resources to provide businesses with the tools they need to grow. With new levels of resource Act customers can expect to see increased value from the product as the growth of the Act! portfolio continues.
