Xperience Group Raises Over £6200 In Aid Of Sands UK

Published: 5 December 2018

This year, in place of sending Christmas Cards, Xperience Group will make a donation of £4800 to Sands UK, their nominated charity of the year. Together with a number of fundraising activities held throughout the year, the funds will reach an amazing total of £6200, in support of anyone affected by the death of a baby.

In 2018, Xperience Group nominated Sands UK as the chosen charity of the year. Every day in the UK around 15 babies die before, during or soon after birth. That means every 90 minutes a family is faced with the devastation of the death of their baby. With this nomination, the Group wanted to help Sands make a difference to the many thousands of people who have been affected by infant loss.

Throughout the year, there was a number of fundraising events held across offices in Peterborough and Lisburn. From the Belfast City Marathon to World Cup Sweepstake, a dress-down day and Mr Whippy’s tour, the company’s charity initiatives aimed at raising funds to promote research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

With the donation of £4800 in place of Christmas Cards, Xperience Group wants to help Sands UK improve the care parents receive when a baby dies, as well as support research to better understand the causes of stillbirth and neonatal deaths and to reduce the baby death rate in the UK.

Sylwia Lysakowska, Marketing Executive at Xperience Group commented, “We are extremely honoured to support Sands UK who is working continuously to improve the bereavement care received by parents and families and influence policy makers. We are aware that our efforts are a drop in the ocean but hope that our activities can make a difference to those faced by the devastating loss of a baby.”
