Campbell Fitzpatrick Solicitors is the first legal practice in Northern Ireland to go live with Microsoft’s new Lync 2010 Unified Communications solution which will transform how they do business according to Director, Cormac Fitzpatrick.

Xperience Group has supplied the new Lync unified communications solution to Campbell Fitzpatrick in a contract representing substantial investment.

With offices in Belfast and Derry / Londonderry, Mr. Fitzpatrick claims that Lync’s cutting edge technology will help them to streamline their business by unifying all its communications, facilitating face to face customer interaction without the need for formal meetings providing significant savings on travel, time and costs.

He commented, “Like all businesses in these challenging economic conditions, we have been looking at how we can maximise efficiency and lower costs. Recently we have been even more focused on how IT could help deliver this for us.

“Our business requires flexibility, with Directors often needed to be involved in meetings and briefings with clients in different places at the same time – the new system enables us to manage this with voice activation and self moving video conferencing and document collaboration. This allows more than one person to work on a document at any given time and and enables the linking of mobile phones to desktop phones and PCs. What appealed to us about Microsoft Lync is that it is much more than a video conferencing facility. As the name suggests, it allows for full integration of telecoms and computer technologies with benefits to be achieved in terms of efficiencies, convenience and flexibility in our approach to our work. Saving time and yet increasing efficiency is a rare opportunity for a business that sells time.”

Commenting on the contract, Patrick Leggett of Xperience said, “This IT package is providing SMEs with a way to make greater use of the technology infrastructure they already have in place. It can revolutionise any business where its staff is its key asset by maximising this vital resource and making real savings for the business in the process.”

Xperience which is a Microsoft Gold partner recently received Platinum status by accounting software provider Pegasus, one of only 4 in the UK to do so, has been in the Northern Ireland marketplace since 1969 and currently employs 43 people.
