Today marks the end of an era; after 13 successful years at DMC Software, an Xperience Group business, and 32 years in business, Mike Ramsay has announced his retirement from DMC Software to focus on his love of agriculture and enterprise.
Established in 2001, DMC Software is a great success story growing from nothing to a multi-million pound turnover organisation with 4000 customers and over 1500 active support contracts. The rapid growth of DMC has been fuelled by the passion of Mike Ramsay, who after using Sage Business Solutions became an advocate of the brand and wanted to sell them to empower like minded Small and Medium Enterprise (SEM) owners.
Mike originally set up DMC Software to sell Act CRM, after using it successfully in another business. Since then, Mike has kept a finger on the pulse of the industry and IT developments, with DMC now offering a broad range of tailored of business applications, including Microsoft CRM, and IT infrastructure solutions, including Cloud technologies, to meet individual business requirements.
DMC Software has been a rising star in the Sage channel, starting from nothing in 2001 moving to the top of the tables in 2013as a top three Sage Business Partner. Throughout this journey, DMC has focused on delivering outstanding customer service and this is marked by the number of awards received since DMC’s conception. The Sage Circle of Excellence Award has been awarded to DMC for five consecutive years with DMC placed as outright winner in 2009. This is a commendable achievement as this award is voted for by DMC customers. Other accolades include ACT! Business partner of the years for nine years, SalesLogix Business Partner for Four years and many others.
On his last day as Managing Director, Mike comments, “When I started this business it was to help me generate the capital required to complete the renovation of a house that I was living in. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be running a multimillion-pound company with fifty-five staff ten years later.”

DMC Software has been a big part of my life and although I am saddened to leave, it is the right time and I am looking forward to moving on with my life and the next challenge.”
