Following on from Swiftpage’s acquisition of Act from Sage, Swiftpage have recently revealed details on the forthcoming 2014 release of Act. The features of Act 2014 (or Sage Act 2014) are still being finalised, with no confirmed release date set.
Mike Ramsay, Managing Director of Xperience Group, commented on the recent Act announcement, stating “Swiftpage pledged a commitment to Act customers when the acquired the software back in March, and Act 2014 shows definite signs of improvement. Swiftpage are developing the brand for improved customer use, as well as allowing users to do more.”
Sage Act 2014 will continue the previous theme and branding, with Swiftpage only updating and developing the software content, rather than the feel or look of the software. Act 2014 has been developed to offer increased levels of performance, through both Web and Desktop versions.
Some of the features expected in (Sage) Act 2014 include continued integration with Sage 50, and Microsoft Office 2013. ACT! 2014 also includes Calculated Fields, allowing users to predetermine forthcoming important dates, as well as enhancements to the Mobile and Web applications.
