About the Role

We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek an ambitious Junior Sage 200 Consultant.

As a Junior Sage Consultant, you will work alongside the Consultants in the team to successfully design, implement and support Sage solutions for our clients. You will also provide assistance and insight to the Xperience Commercial Team to drive product adoption with clients and prospects, whilst building commercial awareness within our teams. As a Junior Consultant, you will work towards becoming the subject matter expert on the Sage product, allowing you to take ownership of key customer projects.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Commercial Team in a pre-sales capacity to provide demos and quotations and assistance with client proposals

  • Carry out project scoping as required, engaging fully with the client to clearly define their wants and needs

  • Review the client’s internal business processes so that our optimum solutions can be designed/offered

  • Document client requirements so that appropriate solutions can be designed, and accurate project plans produced which guide the client through to successful implementation

  • Deliver system training and support to clients across the wide portfolio of Sage including:

    • Data migration

    • System testing

    • System configuration



  • Take ownership of all tasks assigned including liaising with clients and all project administration tasks e.g. client agendas, job card management

  • Collaborate with other Sage team members to work towards successful project delivery for our clients

  • Develop and maintain a broad product knowledge across the wider product portfolio driving continued product adoption across the business, whilst anticipating and ensuring that the company’s offerings are in line with market and competitor trends

  • Take responsibility for one’s own professional development, through continuous learning, to ensure that any contractual or partnership accreditations or certifications are achieved

  • Provide support to our clients by working on our Support Desk. This includes acting as a point of escalation for support incidents, within the Sage department, providing advice and assistance to aid in the resolution of support incidents

  • Be available to provide support to the client during the implementation phase of their project and respond in a timely manner to their queries and concerns

  • Maintain positive client engagement satisfaction throughout the entire life cycle of the engagement with the client

  • Work collaboratively across departments and locations, demonstrating company values and behaviours

Experience Required

Person Specification

Essential Criteria: 


  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, listening, written and presentation skills

  • An eagerness to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and the confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to listen to understand client needs

  • Willingness to learn and develop with the ability to manage your own workload

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams

  • Previous experience in Sage 200

  • Demonstratable understanding of book-keeping principles

  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Server Operating Systems

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (eg. vlookups, pivot tables)

  • A willingness for occasional travel to client sites

  • Valid Right to Work in the UK (We do not currently hold a visa sponsorship licence)


Desirable Criteria 

  • Previous professional experience in any of the following:

    • Sicon Manufacturing

    • Sicon WAP

    • Sicon Projects (job costing)

    • Sage 50

    • CIM50 Manufacturing

    • Draycir / Eureka Add-Ons



  • Demonstrable SQL skills

  • Previous project management experience demonstrated by having completed Sage end-to-end project lifecycles, from scoping through to go live

  • Previous experience/knowledge of the manufacturing industry
