Making the shift to remote working

In the blink of an eye, everyone’s year was flipped upside down and the Covid-19 pandemic forced businesses to embrace working from home almost overnight. We helped our clients ensure that the right technology and cybersecurity measures were in place for a smooth transition from one secure office to thousands of home offices across the UK.

We are proud that our experts were on hand to help make this happen for so many businesses and would like to thank our clients and staff for their support during this difficult period.

Collaboration made possible with Teams

With 2020 being the year it was, we knew we needed to go the extra mile to help our clients continue to interact with their customers and collaborate effectively with their employees and their clients. Working from home brought about new challenges for everyone, and Xperience wanted to ensure we passed as much of our expertise on to our client base as part of our continued commitment to adding value.

By offering one-to-one sessions and a successful webinar series, we helped customers understand how Microsoft Teams could help their business collaborate effectively, manage documents and folder access across their various teams, and engage with their customers via Team meetings, presentations, and demonstration recordings. It gives us a great feeling to hear and see our clients using this technology to interact with their customer base locally and around the globe!

28 educational webinars

While we were no strangers to hosting webinars, we have certainly learned to embrace them in 2020. We carried out 28 free educational webinars with 400 attendees from across the UK to help our clients maximise the systems they already have while working from home.

We were delighted to host these webinars, which included topics such as data security, collaboration, reporting, and productivity tools. It’s been a great way to stay connected with our clients and share our knowledge when it’s needed most.

Launching a new podcast series

Podcasts were a new venture for us in 2020, but one we were excited to try. It is important to us that our clients feel supported, especially in these extraordinary times, so we wanted to pass on our expertise through a forum that best suited them in the new era of remote working.

We launched our new Digital Transformation podcast on Podbean which saw our experts and Senior Leadership Team step up and talk to other experts and clients on their digital transformation journey across CRM, ERP, Managed IT, and Cloud.

We are excited to continue this journey in 2021, but to check out our podcast series to date, click here.

7 new products and services and achieving ISO 27001:2013 security accreditation

With everything that went down in 2020, one thing that we kept up, was our passion to continually innovate and expand our offering to our clients so that their data is always supported and secure in this ever-changing digital landscape. Last year seen an unprecedented increase in cybersecurity threats and on average our data centre teams blocked over 1 million malicious requests each day! So, over the last 12 months, we’ve introduced a range of security solutions that have allowed our clients to access previously unattainable levels of protection from the latest cybersecurity threats. One of the new services, is our new Modern Workplace Security Bundle which is delivered through a flexible and convenient monthly subscription. This provides access to industry-leading technologies and tools, to help our clients to prepare, detect, and defend against the latest cybersecurity threats.

As part of our security efforts, Xperience is also ISO 27001:2013 certified, which demonstrates that we have comprehensive security policies, procedures and physical security measures in place to meet international security standards. Thanks to the dedication of our team, we’re delighted to have met this standard for the sixth year in a row!

Major new release of Contracts365

After 12 months of development, Contracts365 has now moved into Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. The new version provides customers with enhanced functionality, quicker deployment times and improved integration with other Microsoft products.

Continuing cloud growth

How we work changed overnight in 2020, so we had to think about how we could accommodate the demand on the cloud to support our customers and to enable the development of new products and services. To do this, we launched our fourth cloud computing platform in London. However, we didn’t stop there – we also doubled our connectivity footprint to increase performance and resilience and we introduced two new virtualisation technologies, which allow us to deliver more customised solutions for our clients.

Giving back to our community

Although we haven’t been able to take part in the usual staff fundraising events throughout the year, we made the month of December all about giving back. We knew we couldn’t do our usual employee Christmas celebrations, so we opted to run several virtual events like cocktails and bingo, Santa’s scavenger hunt, a riddle a day, etc. Donations were welcomed for the attendance of every virtual event.

Our team raised over £1000 in less than a month for Trussell Trust, which supports a nationwide network of food banks to stop families in the UK from going hungry. Well done all, that’s something to be proud of!

Employee service awards

The Xperience team is always working tirelessly to ensure our clients can continue everyday operations with ease, with no disruption. 2020 was a year full of surprises so we took the opportunity to make sure we said a huge thank you to those staff members who have been with us for 5 – 30+ years by creating a roll of honour and sending gifts to their homes.
Thank you for your service, and here’s to the start of another year in Xperience.

Graduate programme success

2020 also saw our graduates successfully pass our Graduate Program describing Xperience as a ‘fun, friendly, and driven’ company to work for. It was a challenging year for our grads to work through, but they worked hard, asked lots of questions, and delivered outstanding results for their teams and the business. Well done to you all!

Here’s to the year ahead…

2021 has kicked off and we are excited about the year to come. With our new security bundles becoming available, and a new podcast series covering all you need to know about digital transformation, we have lots to share with you this year, so stay tuned.

After a challenging 2020, everyone in Xperience would like to thank all our clients and partners for their continued support and wish you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2021.
